Cara Freedman is a highly acclaimed, award winning composer for Jewish Children’s Theater. Her innovative theater programs in San Diego have trained thousands of young Jewish actors and actresses over the past 20 years.

Cara is also the author and composer of 8 full scale rock musicals. Cara’s shows have been produced in major theaters, synagogues, summer camps, religious schools, Jewish and secular high schools, JCC’s, and drama clubs all across the country and Canada.

Cara won the prestigious Telly Award from National Cable Television for her music video production for THE ROLE MODEL and has been featured on local and national television, radio programs, and Jewish magazines. Cara’s show, A SIGN UPON YOUR HAND was featured on the national CBS show, 48 hours.

Currently Cara is leading and teaching music at Congregation Ner Tamid, and Congregation Ohr Shalom. In the summer, Cara is surrounded by happy campers at the La Jolla Jewish Community Center Camp Jaycee.
